What we can offer you
The tattoo courses we hold at The Liverpool Tattoo Academy are designed for people looking to start their tattoo career, re-train or focus on a second career as a tattoo artist.
Our tattoo courses are designed to give students an insight into the world of tattooing and to develop the confidence, competence and practical skills in order to pursue a successful career within the tattoo industry.
Our 10 day intensive tattoo course runs across two weeks (Monday – Friday) starting at 10am and finishing at 6pm daily (Times may vary).
Students will study the ethics, theory and legislations of tattooing and develop knowledge in these areas before undergoing a theoretical examination. All practical elements of the industry are taught during this course and are assessed under exam conditions on the final day of the course.
Students who chose The Liverpool Tattoo Academy as their education provider of choice, will have the luxury of studying in a purpose-built, dedicated classroom environment.
Our courses
Our intensive Foundation Course in tattoo artistry have been created to deliver over 80hrs of engaging technical and practical coaching in tattooing on practice skin.
Our Intermediate Course curriculum offers all students the opportunity to develop their skills on live models and showcase skills gained from our theoretical component of the course.
By following our unique learner pathway, students will spend over 70% of their time with us in practical sessions, learning how to create designs which will be suitable for tattooing. Outlining, colouring and shading techniques are demonstrated alongside the ethics, history and legislation/regulations of professional tattooing.
Students will also be taught how to dismantle and reassemble tattoo machines so that they get a comprehensive understanding our equipment.
The Graduate Tattoo Course is exclusive to The Liverpool Tattoo Academy and has been designed to help aspiring tattoo artists continue developing their skills and prepare for a successful career in the tattoo industry.

Graduate Tattoo Course
The Intermediate Course is the natural progression from our Foundation Course, while our Fine Line Course and Graduate Tattoo Course provide opportunities to further develop and refine your skills.
Throughout the Graduate Tattoo Course, you'll receive ongoing mentorship, guidance and support from our experienced tattoo artists, helping you build confidence, strengthen your portfolio and develop the professional standards expected within the industry.
We also have a fully equipped regist and licensed tattoo studio where Graduate Course students may have the opportunity to progress to working as self-employed tattoo artists, subject to reaching the professional standard required.
This offers a supportive environment to begin building your career while continuing to learn from our experienced team.
